Helen Joseph, Owner/Director/AMI Trained Toddler Guide

Ms. Helen has been charming and challenging Montessori toddlers since 2002. Generations of children have learned "grace and courtesy" under her gentle tutelage (and a few parents too). She is the proud mother of two Montessori graduates, Jamel Sirlea, who just graduated from Boston University and Amina Sirleaf, a student at Wagner College in New York, majoring in psychology.

Originally from Liberia, she has visited many times, taking her children to visit their grandmother. Ms. Helen's dream is to honor the authenticity of Maria Montessori's AMI foundation of a prepared environment and to support the growth and development of the young child.

Amina Sirleaf, Environment Assistant

After graduating with from Wagner College, Amina joined New Leaf and has excelled in her position for the past year and a half. Ms. Sirleaf is the assistant for the New Leaf Montessori Toddler and Primary classrooms. Outgoing, sweet, and bi-lingual, she converses in Spanish with the children so they may learn the language while they work. She is currently enrolled in Boston Universities Paralegal Program, and is planning to graduate this Fall.
